Your scenic flights from Grenchen in detail

Experience open-cockpit flying in a 1939 Bücker Bü-133 Jungmann, complete with a leather cap and goggles. Choose from 30- or 60-minute flights over the Jura Mountains and Lake Biel, or further into the Bernese Oberland. Select a relaxing scenic flight or one featuring aerobatic maneuvers such as loops, rolls, and inverted flight. The Pilatus P-2, Pilatus's first production aircraft (first flight in 1946), impresses with its characteristic 12-cylinder inline engine and authentic tailwheel feel, entirely without modern assistance systems – also offering optional aerobatic maneuvers. Its successor, the Pilatus P-3 with nosewheel landing gear, served with the Swiss Air Force until 1994 and is available as a 30- or 60-minute flight, with routes ranging from the Jura landscape to the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau mountains.

The Stinson L-5 Sentinel HB-TRY offers a unique piece of history: This American liaison aircraft from World War II strayed across the Swiss border during a reconnaissance flight in 1944, was fired upon, and forced to make an emergency landing in the Jura Mountains. Later, it flew for the Swiss Air Force under the registration A-96. The 90-minute flight takes you over the Jura Mountains, the Three Lakes Region, and, upon request, as far as the foothills of the Alps, without any aerobatics, but with exceptional panoramic views from the historic cabin.
