Can I fly a real fighter jet at Aosta?
Yes: You'll fly the L-39 Albatros, a genuine military jet, over the Italian Alps, accompanied by a professional pilot. You don't need a license; you'll be at the controls yourself.

What are the weight and size limits?
The leg strap sets the weight limit – flights have already been conducted with passengers weighing up to approximately 136 kg. If you are approximately 1.98 m tall or have a long torso, please let us know your seat height so we can check the fit.
Do I need flying experience?
No. The ground briefing prepares you; once in the air, you're free to take over. With more prior experience, you'll get more stick time. You'll remain in constant contact with the pilot via intercom.
What is the process?
You'll meet your pilot, get acquainted with the L-39, and together decide on the desired intensity of the flight. After a safety briefing, getting fitted for your flight suit, and a cockpit introduction, the flight begins, featuring aerobatics against a mountain backdrop, stick time, and low-level flying through the valleys. Finally, you'll receive your flight certificate and have time for a chat with the pilot.
How long does the entire experience last?
Depending on the package, the flight lasts 30, 45, or 60 minutes. You should plan for a total of approximately 2.5 to 3 hours on site: briefing, equipment, flight, photos, and time with the pilot afterward.
When in the year do the Alpine flights take place?
Flight operations mainly take place during the warmer months, roughly from spring to autumn, when the mountain weather is most stable. In case of unsuitable weather, the flight will be rescheduled free of charge.
Is there a minimum age?
As a guideline, a minimum age of around 14 years is recommended; those under 18 require parental consent. There is no upper age limit as long as the person is healthy.
Can family and friends come along?
With pleasure. Accompanying persons experience the preparations up close – and a jet taking off against an Alpine panorama is also an impressive experience from the ground.
