Their aerobatic flights in northern Switzerland in detail
With open-cockpit Bücker Jungmann biplanes departing from Grenchen or near Zurich, you'll experience the authentic aviator feeling, complete with leather cap and goggles, in a 1935/1939 military trainer – either as a relaxing scenic flight or with aerobatic maneuvers like loops and rolls. For a true warbird experience, try the North American AT-16 Harvard II from Birrfeld, a Swiss military trainer with a 9-cylinder radial engine, completely restored by Max Vogelsang, or the North American T-28 Trojan from Bremgarten with an 800-hp radial engine – both offering optional aerobatic maneuvers.
With the Pilatus P-2 (first flight 1946) and its successor, the Pilatus P-3, departing from Grenchen, you'll fly in genuine products of the Swiss manufacturer: The P-2 is a tailwheel aircraft with a characteristic 12-cylinder inline engine, while the P-3 is a more modern nosewheel aircraft that remained in service with the Swiss Air Force until 1994. Both offer optional aerobatic maneuvers.
For true aerobatics enthusiasts, the XtremeAir XA42 from Habsheim near Basel and the MSW Votec 322 from Birrfeld are available – both high-performance aerobatic aircraft with up to +8/-5G (XA42) and +9/-5G (Votec), respectively, with the option of piloting the aircraft yourself. The aerobatic program ranges from rolls and inverted flight to loops, hammerheads, and Cuban eights, tailored to your comfort level.
